The Biarritz of the North

North Berwick is even more alive than normal! The town is known as 'The Biarritz of the North' but I've heard that the popular resort in the south of France is changing its roadsigns to let people know that it is now to be known as 'The North Berwick of the South'. (Actually Biarritz RFC v NBRFC would be a good rugby match - maybe somebody should try to arrange it.)

It's all to do with the fantastic 'Fringe by the Sea' event that is taking place in the town this week. This is a satellite event to the main Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has many acts and exhibitions at various venues, including the Spiegeltent near the Seabird Centre. I was on the North Berwick bus yesterday and it was standing room only. Amazing.
The picture shows the warm up gig for the Jazz parade that was about to take place along the High Street.
